JC Penney’s new ad for Father’s Day
The text reads:
“First Pals: What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver—all rolled into one. Or two.” The text at the bottom reads: “Real-life dads, Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their children Claire and Mason.”

Thank you JC Penney

SISTER, IT IS BETTER THAT YOU SHOULD RUSH UPON THAT BLADE THAN ENTER THE CIRCLE WITH FEAR IN YOUR HEART.
HOW DO YOU ENTER?
With perfect love and perfect trust.
GOOD. WELCOME TO OUR COVEN. ONLY A COUPLE OF GROUND RULES:
1. NO TAKING INTO YOURSELF ALL THE POWER OF MANON. WE HAD SOME TROUBLE WITH THAT A FEW YEARS AGO.
2. YOU CAN’T WEAR A TANK TOP TWO DAYS IN A ROW, AND YOU CAN ONLY WEAR YOUR HAIR IN A PONYTAIL ONCE A WEEK.
3. ON WEDNESDAYS WE WEAR PINK.
BLESSED BE.

THIS. This is the most perfectest thing I have ever seen on the interwebs ever.

My thoughts are with you

I feel for the Saint Mary’s class of 2013 at the loss of their beloved classmate Jessica Robinson. I only really knew her in passing, but I know the feeling of a peer and a friend taken too soon. And at 21, looking back on my 15- and 17-year-old selves, I remember what I went through, what I am still going through, and how it has forever affected my life. Although I am not much older than the junior class, I know the death of my friends has aged me too many years, and I wish that no other young person would have to feel that pain again. I have always thought the classes below me would always be the young ones, the lucky ones, even in high school. I was proven wrong last year when the world lost Nikki and Melissa, Willows High graduates of 2009. I hurt me to know my friends were hurting. And unfortunately, the SMC class  of 13 was not immune to this kind of tragedy.

So while I am sad for the loss of Jessica, a beautiful young life cut short, I also mourn the loss of young, carefree hearts that will continue beating in sorrow.

I’m about to go to Hollywood by way of Nevada and its looser gun control laws. CW, NBC, and ABCFamily: lock your doors and sleep with one eye open.
